I keep disappearing!

It's another one of those... It feels like it's been forever since I blogged! With my grandpa in the hospital it's hard to find the time to get on here as much as I'd like. I hope everyone has been doing great. A little update on us.
Yesterday was a gorgeous Sunday. I finally got to mow this crazy yard and got my first sunburn of the year! Oh boy I couldn't stop scratching. I took a try at weed eating the whole yard by myself this time. Man my arm muscles are killing me today. Kudos to my hubby who usually does it and will probably continue to do it lol! Little man and I spent all day outside just working and playing. When hubby got home from drill we grilled out hot dogs and hamburgers. These are my favorite days, just spending time with my boys outside relaxing! I ended the day with Army Wives and now it's Monday! Have a great week people and I hope the weather is gorgeous where you are!

Too long...

I just noticed the last post I made was 2 weeks ago! Wow. Where have I been? I guess I've been enjoying the outdoors a little more. I love Spring! I was so ready for Winter to be over. Spring just makes me feel better. I just love being able to sit on the front porch, ride the four wheeler, or go on a walk! The past few days haven't been so great though. The smell of chicken poop from the farm down the road has made it's way to my house. Let's just say it isn't very pleasant. Little man's bus pulled up yesterday and I just about died from laughing so hard. All the kiddos were holding their nose, poor kids!
I have also been enjoying "Army Wives". They always have me on the edge of my seat. The next episode should be a tear jerker but I love it anyways. Tune in Sunday night and check out the show "Coming Home" that comes on afterwards.
Have a great rest of the week people!

I'm Back!

I know it's been a while since I've rambled! I've been out of town for a week visiting my grandpa. He's been in the hospital and will more than likely not be leaving. His lung cancer has spread to his brain and he has started radiation. There are some side effects to come, and I needed to see him while he is still himself. He was in really good spirits and the jokester as always! I was so glad to see that. Hopefully he can beat this and we will have him around for many more years!

On another note...Army Wives! Ahh. I've been waiting for this new season for what felt like forever! I absolutely love the show and get into every season. It looks like this will be another great season and I will be tuned in every Sunday night. If you haven't already, check it out!

I'm glad to be back home to my hubby and to have little man back in school. He missed his friends so bad. He had perfect attendance up until last week. Thankfully he only had to miss four days.

I hope you all have a great rest of the week! Thanks for stopping by.

Rainy Monday

Hey everyone! I just got back from lunch at my favorite Mexican restaurant. Pollo Loco is my favorite and I get it every single time I go there! Little man is at school and the little one I keep during the week isn't here today. It's good to have a day to myself...I feel rejuvenated for now at least! While I was out I also had to take back the clothes we bought little man over the weekend. They were all one size too big! We realized that on the first trip there were two things that weren't paid for. After I exchanged a couple of things for different items I still came out with .74! I'm still not sure how that happened.
The weekend was pretty great! Shawn was home and we really enjoyed quality time with him. Little man's plans were 1) park 2) McDonald's Playplace 3) new orange ball shoes! Unfortunately we weren't able to find any orange shoes but we managed to talk him into getting red Nike's instead. I told him they make him run faster, so I think they will do! We had a big home cooked lunch on Sunday before Shawn left. He had another trip to Knoxville MEPS and is still there now. He should be home sometime tonight.

I'm going to enjoy the rest of my day and hopefully you will too! If you are lucky it's not raining as much as it is at my house. Have a great week!

Cookies!

It's that time of year again. I always look forward to the little girls next door selling their Girl Scout cookies! My order arrived a couple of days ago. If you haven't already, get out and support the Girl Scouts and enjoy!

Some of our favorites!

Not sure on a title.

I try not to title every post, "Ramblings" but it's hard because that's pretty much what this is. I'll be honest I can't think of these really great things to write about simply because my life isn't that interesting! I wish.
Hubby had a trip to MEPS again last night after the start of district basketball games. He was at games tonight along with ASVAB testing. I'd say by the end of the week he will be worn out! His weekend will probably consist of sitting in the recliner and watching movies! I don't blame him though.
The little man and I have church tomorrow night and parent teacher conference on Thursday night. I'm excited to see what his teachers have to say. He really loves school. This week he is mad at his best friend for being mean. I'm sure by next week they will be friends again. You gotta love 3 and 4 yr olds! I do need to get a few things at Wal-Mart this weekend. Little man needs new Spring/Summer clothes as well. This small town living is great but I absolutely hate having to go 45 minutes to the nearest mall. Ahh, and they don't even have the stores I love. If they could just add The Children's Place, Old Navy, Gymboree, and Baby Gap, I'd be happy! Oh well, they can't please everyone. Hopefully the weather will be nice here! Have a great week people.
